Court to cancel registration of Rani's Shirdi land

Mumbai, Dec 4: A court today said that the registration of the land, purchased by Bollywood star Rani Mukherjee in Shirdi which attracted much controversy, will be cancelled as the actor purchased it illegally.Rani's land, which has been in the quagmire of controversy for the past one month or so, was declared illegal by a court today.The state government is to take possession of the land.Wanting to build a house in Shirdi in Ahmednagar district, Mukherjee had purchased 11,000 square feet land in 2005 from a farmer Sampat More.
